The Fairfield Elementary Board of Trustees approved running a mill levy for the maintenance and operations of the elementary school district. The mill levy proposal is for 4.59 mills or $18,757; passage of the proposal will increase the taxes on a $100,000 approximately $5.79 for the 2019-2020 school year and approximately $11.58 on a $200,000 home for the 2019-2020 school year. Polling takes place on Tuesday, May 7th in the multi-purpose room starting at 12:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. This will be the first elementary mill levy proposed since 2011 and only the third mill levy proposed since 2011.
