It's Friday, it's cold and there are a lot of moving parts at the school right now. I would like to disseminate a little information and keep working to stay ahead of any difficulties that may come our way.
School Exposure PRECAUTIONS
To date, we have not had a school exposure to COVID requiring a partial or full scale physical school closure. Due to the rising numbers statewide and especially in our own area, we have been doing some additional planning and taking Precautions to facilitate an immediate transition into distance learning if it were to become necessary. Just like the school, I would encourage parents to have a plan in place in the event we have to close the school for your child's grade level temporarily.
All students will be bringing home their school computers this weekend (ipads K-2 and Chromebooks 3-12). 7-12 will have them every night from now on to ensure preparation for any event.
I would like to emphasize, this is for planning and is purely PRECAUTIONARY at this time.
You will be receiving a "robo-text" that contains a link to an easy fill out google form. That information will help us continue to provide free school lunches to all our students. This is available for students only at this time, but we will have curb-side pickup and delivery by bus available. Again, this is only in the event that this is necessary and we are doing what we can to be prepared.
Tonight's game will be cold, but it is for the conference championship and has several playoff implications, so despite the blizzard, we are going to play football.
Tomorrow's JV game is very much in the air right now. Latest weather does not paint a conducive picture, but that discussion will involve coaches from both sides and their AD's right after tonight's game.
Last home game, traditional senior night, will be this Sat. District tourney is scheduled to start with Home / Away games vs lower seeds next Thursday, culminating in Conrad on Saturday with just a few final teams.
Good Luck, Stay Safe, and Stay Warm!
