Fairfield Parents and Community Members,
The MSU Extension for Teton County is presenting an Opioid awareness class for parents being held Friday July 21st at the Fairfield Community Hall.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a teenager who is interested and willing to get some education about one of the greatest dangers facing our youth today.
The link below is the MSU Extension resource page for all of their opioid related resources:

It's always great to share some good news about our school, so please take a minute to read this email I got regarding our girls at the State B/C Tennis Tournament:
"Hello Mr. Wilson, I feel that in the world today all we hear is the negative. I feel that needs to change and those bringing positivity need to be recognized. I just wanted to reach out to tell you what exceptional student athletes and parents you have at Fairfield. My freshman daughter, from Bigfork High School, made it to state tennis this year in doubles. Her last match was against Rogers/Hatch who were incredibly talented senior players. Our girls held; but really were no match. Not only did the parents (and team) from Fairfield support and encourage them when they had a good play, but your girls went up to them afterwards and were so supportive saying "how they can't wait to see what our girls do when they're seniors". True winners show sportsmanship; and those two girls won the biggest prize this weekend in my book.
Just wanted to share with you what amazing people you have in Fairfield.
Sincerely,
Sandy Schwartz, Bigfork High School Tennis Mom"
Her message says a lot about what is right about our school and our community. This is what Fairfield, Montana is about. There is so much more to high school athletics than winning and losing. Our student athletes are learning life lessons and interpersonal skills that will benefit them long after the thrill of victory or sting of defeat have faded with time. THIS is what is important about high school athletics. We all need to keep this in mind. Everyone involved in athletics wants to win, but coaches should be (and are) focused on more than just wins and losses. Our student athletes, parents, and community members need to remember there is more than just a game at stake before confronting a coach, writing an angry email or text, or venting on social media. The phrase "Win With Character" is painted on the wall by the weight room in our school. It is easy to win with character, but it takes a REAL winner to lose with character, also. Please keep that in mind as the new school year and new sports seasons get closer to becoming a reality in August. Have a great summer break!
P.S. The email from Sandy Schwartz was shared here with her permission.

The Fairfield School would like to remind all our student parents and to please vote on the District Technology and Safety Levy. You should all have gotten a HS District Ballot (white) and if you live in Fairfield, an Elem District Ballot (blue) in your mailbox.
You can mail your ballots in the pre-addressed envelopes (don't forget to sign the back of the yellow one). Ballots should be mailed no later than Friday (4/28) to ensure they arrive on time, or you can simply drop them off at the HS office for the election judge.
Thank you for taking the time to vote.

Due to staffing needs, Fairfield bus routes will need to go back to 4 routes like we did a month ago. If your children switched then, they will be on the bus they switched to again. This should only be for the week of April 24-28. We will update if it needs to be the following week, also. Thank you for understanding.

If you see several Teton County Sheriff vehicles and EMS vehicles, don't be alarmed. They are doing a trial run of their "Drunk Goggles" program that they are planning to bring to area schools. Thank you to Deputy Mark Grove for spearheading this event and being involved in our school activities!

Fairfield will NOT be running buses this morning. We will still have school for those who can make safely. Anyone late or absent due to roads will be excused.
